The story of Agnika Kaieru and the founding of Gjallarhorn - granted, that is bending the question a little. Agnika Kaieru was a real historical figure and I try to learn as much fact about him as is possible.

Are you familiar with the Calamity War? It's a historical event in my world that nearly wiped out mankind. Data about it was suppressed for three centuries, leaving it stuck between myth and history.

If we are talking genuine mythology that has survived from the times before the war - well, I ought to be partial to Nordic mythology. Gjallarhorn draws heavily upon it.

i dont know what a gjallarhorn is, but the calamity war sounds familiar. in my world we had something called the arda collapse five hundred-ish years ago where the world nearly ended, and it was such a mess that most records from that time and from earlier are really rare, considering. that the world was kind of ending and all

The Calamity War was fought against angels. Pure, mechanical angels whose only goal was the destruction of mankind. Humans had to give up a piece of their humanity and sell their souls to demons in order to drive them back.

Agnika Kaieru was their leader.

the demons have better technology than we do in my world too, i guess. but what kind of a machine is an angel?

The formal classification is Mobile Armor, but the individual ones are named after angels. They're giant self-sufficient killing machines - a Mobile Armor can sustain and repair itself and exists only for one purpose: to kill.

"God" from an ancient religion known as Christianity - who, yes, did hate other gods. Or rather, Christianity denied their existence.

It's not in widespread practice anymore, but its aesthetics survived.

Agnika Kaieru and his allies build an army of demons to stand against the angels.

Demons, in the mythological sense, as fallen angels. They are seen as impure and evil.

For the sake of this story, the demons are smaller fighting machines. A person can sit inside them and pilot them for combat. In order to unlock their full potential, however, one has to turn their own body part-machine. The machines saved mankind but took away part of their pilots' humanity in return.

I agree that Nicky is starting to look very likely.He seems to be partial to Jesper and Kita, and I am sure they return that feeling.

I also enjoy his company a fair bit, but I'd prefer to prevent a landslide victory for him.

Naturally, I want the victory for myself, but failing that I'd like for it to go to you.

Think about it.

If I voted honestly, based on who I like the most, then I'd be ranking Nicky in second place. However, as much as I enjoy his company, I don't want to hand victory to him. Nicky is already likely to receive top votes from Jesper and Kita - thus I'll vote Nicky lowly.

We'll also want to keep Jesper and Kita as low as we can, so one of us has to keep each in the last two places so we award both of them as little points as possible.

A possible voting list that might favor us would be if you voted me in first place, Jesper in second, Kita in third and Nicky in last. I would then vote you in first, Kita in second, Nicky in third and Jesper in last. That way we can hope to neutralize their votes for each other.

I am fairly sure Jesper and Nicky will put each other first, leaving Kita with no top votes. Thus, she gets the most points from us in total.

There were moments when I felt my determination falter. The idea of living a secured-for-life with my friends sometimes seemed appealing for a minute or two.

But you don't forget the streets. They cling to you, and unveil all the comforts of wealth for the crude illusions that they are. In the end, I'm not capable of betraying myself and siding with the boot that holds those like us down in the first place.
